I have a passion for helping individuals and families find direction and balance in their lives. Becoming a life coach has been a lifelong calling that began in unlikely places. My first career was in marine biology, which pivoted to program management, and ultimately to coaching. As strange a combination of careers as this may be, they have combined my problem-solving and interpersonal skills to the joyful work of helping others.
I truly love working with clients of all ages, all backgrounds, and all views on life. I don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach to coaching, and I strive to work with clients to tailor the right approach for them. Ultimately, the client is the expert on their lives, and I respect the partnership from working together to meet life goals. My particular focus in the coaching relationship is to help the client focus on goals, recognize roadblocks, and develop a plan to stay on track.
I located to Baton Rouge in the early ’90s and received a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science, and Masters of Business Administration from Louisiana State University. In 2019, I received a Masters of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College and Theological Seminary. I currently serve in youth mentoring and leadership at my church. As such, I have worked with many youth to find their own life direction and launch into adulthood with greater focus and confidence.
On a personal note, I have been married for over 25 years and have raised two children. I am a bit of an outdoor fanatic. I love tennis, hiking, and rock climbing (although it doesn’t always love me!). I have a heart for new experiences and am usually looking for an adventure somewhere. I look forward to learning more about you and where you find your life passion.
